golf1.jpgThe Meadow at Peabody Golf Course is an 18-hole regulation length public golf course owned and operated by the City of Peabody, Massachusetts. The course was designed and built by the Cornish, Silva & Mungeam architect firm in 2001 at the cost of $6.75 million.

The course is  situated on a 259-acre land with rolling terrain and various elevation changes. It offers big greens, good size tees, great fun and a challenge for golfers of all skill levels.

Additionally, the club house was designed by renowned Boston architect Ken Dinisco. It has day lockers and showers for public use. Golfers are invited to enjoy a variety of food from the Grille menu. Also, the Grille Room is perfect for viewing sporting events with its big screen cable television.

Dress Code Policy
:

The Meadow at Peabody requires that all golfers wear a collared golf shirt and appropriate pants or shorts. NO T-SHIRTS or JEANS are allowed to be worn if golfing the course. NO EXCEPTIONS can be made. Please inform every member of your group before arriving at the golf course.

The 2008 Meadow Club Championship will be held on 08/02/2008 and 08/03/2008. Tee times start at 7:30AM. To be eligible to participate, players must be listed on the Meadow Handicap system by July 1st, 2008 with an active handicap. The Championship will be decided by match play format. A qualifying round will be held on July 19th, 2008 to determine matches. Players will be required to pay $30.00 entry fee for prizes. Click here for an entry application and drop it off at the Pro Shop by July 17th, 2008.

The Meadow at Peabody's Junior League 2008 will begin June 26 and run every Thursday morning for 9 weeks throughout the summer for players age 12-17 years old. Tee times are reserved between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM each week. The cost for the league is a $30.00 initial fee. This will cover a golf price and 3 pizza parties during the season. This fee does not include green fees. The Junior rate for 9 holes is $15.00. For registration and more information, please call the Meadow at Peabody at 978-532-9390.
